The Oklahoma City Thunder is now four victories from his first title since Seattle moved.

The Thunder are the kings of the West Conference after mistreating the Minnesota Timberwolves, 124-94, in game 5 of the conference finals on Wednesday night.

It is the first time that the Thunder have been in the NBA finals since 2012, that the three big ones of a young Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden lost to the SuperTeam that was the Miami Heat, directed by LeBron James.

However, the times darkened in recent years: Durant left after the 2015-16 season after Thunder blowing an advantage of 3-1 at 73-9 Golden State Warriors in the finals of the conference of that season. After the Warriors returned the favor to James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Durant went west to the bay area and won two titles.

While that happened, it caused a reconstruction that led the team near the bottom of the classification of the League only four years ago.

The MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 34 points, while Chet Holmgren added 22. Jalen Williams added 19 points and eight rebounds for the Thunder.
