Tickets for Champions Trophy Final that will be made available just four days before

Tickets for the 2025 Champions Trophy final, scheduled for March 9, will be available just four days before the match. Announcing ticket sales on Monday for the eight-team tournament, which begins from February 19, the ICC said tickets for the final will be available after the first semi-final, which is scheduled on March 4.

The main reason behind the ICC releasing tickets for the final so late is the hybrid model set for the tournament due to India refusing to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Consequently, it was decided that India would play their matches in Dubai, which would also host the first semi-final if Rohit’s Sharma’s team qualified for the knockouts. In case India reaches the final, that match will also be played in Dubai. In the event that India does not make the semi-finals, then all the knockout matches will be played in Pakistan, including the final in Lahore.

The ICC said on Monday that tickets for the Pakistan leg of the Champions Trophy, comprising 10 matches including the second semi-final (scheduled in Karachi), would go on display from Tuesday (2 Pakistan time/1.30 pm IST). . Regarding tickets for the Dubai leg, the ICC said: “Information would be available in the coming days” without specifying any date.

Tickets for matches in Pakistan are priced at Rs 1,000 for the general category while the premium category starts from Rs 1,500. Sumair Ahmad Syed, the tournament director, said tickets have been made “affordable” to ensure that “fans from all walks of life can be part of this historic spectacle, making it a celebration for all generations.” of cricket lovers”.

India and Pakistan are in Group A, along with Bangladesh and New Zealand. The much-awaited India-Pakistan group game is scheduled for Dubai on February 23.
