Tiger Woods was handcuffed last week after a lengthy field sobriety test.
Woods gave “triple zeros” on a Breathalyzer but still underwent testing because of his “lethargic” movements and other signs of impairment, authorities said.
Woods told authorities before field sobriety tests that he underwent seven back surgeries and “more than 20 leg surgeries.” He told authorities he “takes some” prescription medications. In 2021, he suffered an accident that caused serious leg injuries that kept him off the golf course throughout the year.

He also mentioned that his ankle was fused and he walks with a limp due to the injuries. Due to the nature of his injuries, authorities forced him to perform the exercises sitting down.
The first exercise Woods did was follow a finger with his eyes, which he had difficulty with. They also told him to put his fingertips to his nose.
After alternating between the palm and back of his other hand while counting 1 and 2, another move he had trouble with, he was assigned one more exercise that included putting his fists together, clapping his hands, and counting more.
After the four exercises, an officer asked Woods to turn around and place his hands behind his back. They then handcuffed Woods.

“Are you going to arrest me?” -Woods asked.
“Yes sir,” the deputy responded.
It was the second time Woods was arrested for driving under the influence; He was also arrested in 2017.
Woods announced earlier this week that he would “seek treatment,” giving up on returning to the golf course for the time being.
“I know and understand the severity of the situation I am in today. I will be stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary so I can prioritize my well-being and work toward a lasting recovery,” Woods said. in a statement Tuesday posted on social media.
