Tiger Woods’ mugshot was released Friday night, hours after he was arrested on a DUI charge following a car crash in Florida.
Woods’ eyes appeared bloodshot as he pulled on a blue polo inside the Martin County Jail in Florida.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek confirmed in a news conference that Woods was traveling at a “high rate of speed” when his vehicle collided with another car, causing his vehicle to roll onto the driver’s side.

Authorities said Woods “exemplifies signs of deterioration.” He put “triple zeros” on alcohol, but refused to take a urine test.
“DUI investigators arrived on the scene here, and Mr. Woods exhibited signs of impairment. They ran several tests on him. Of course, he explained the injuries and surgeries he had. We took that into account, but they ran some in-depth tests on the road,” Budensiek added.
“We didn’t really suspect that alcohol was involved in this case, and that turned out to be true in jail… But when it came time to ask him for a urine test, he refused. And because of that, he’s been charged with DUI, property damage, and refusing to submit to a legal test.”
Woods was seen talking on the phone after the accident, wearing navy blue shorts.
Woods was charged with DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a test, all misdemeanor charges. No one was injured, authorities said. Woods was alone in the car and crawled out the passenger door after the crash.

“This could have been a lot worse,” Budensiek said.

“I feel very bad. He has some difficulties.” Trump said. “There was an accident, and that’s all I know. A very close friend of mine. He’s an incredible person, an incredible man, but with some difficulties.”
Woods has not commented on the arrest.
Woods is currently dating Trump’s former daughter-in-law, Vanessa, whose daughter, Kai, will play college golf in Miami next week.
This is Woods’ second DUI arrest in the last decade. In 2017, he was arrested, also on Jupiter Island, after taking prescribed medication and falling asleep behind the wheel of a moving car at 3 in the morning.
In 2021, he suffered an accident that caused serious leg injuries that kept him off the golf course throughout the year.

Woods returned to competitive golf earlier this week at the TGL Championship after rupturing his Achilles tendon just before last year’s Masters (this year’s tournament is in less than two weeks). Woods has not appeared on the golf course since the 2024 PGA Championship, where he missed the cut.
