Police arrested a man who made a terrorism department inspector (CTD) who used false equipment, a black car and social media videos to project a false image of authority and intimidate the public.
According to the Police of the Territory of the capital of Islamabad (ICT), the arrest took place near the Khanna bridge on the Islamabad highway during the routine patrol by the Traffic Police thus Muhammad Ramzan.
The suspect, the BF-2421 driving vehicle registry, said falsely to be a CTD officer and threatened the police with serious consequences, a police spokesman said to APP on Sunday.
The officers recovered a fake CTD uniform, a rotating blue siren light, an iPhone 16 pro max, USB and other materials used to impersonate the police.
A search on his phone revealed several Videos of Tiktok and on social networks where he made a CTD officer who made raids.
Additional investigation confirmed that man had no links with any security agency and was using the false identity to scare civilians and increase their popularity online by forming a false gang personality.
Lohi Bher Police, directed by Sho Fawad Khalid, registered a case under sections 170 and 171 of the Pakistan Criminal Code, along with additional provisions for supplantation and misuse of emergency equipment.
