Karachi:
A Tiktaker wanted in a honey trap case was arrested after allegedly using the women of his family as a human shield to resist the arrest and attack an officer of the National Agency for Investigation of the Cyber Crime (Nccia) with an acute weapon, injuring it.
According to Nccia officials, a Sukkur team had arrived in Karachi to arrest the suspect, identified as Makhdoom Junaid, aka Junaid Jani, in relation to a FIR housed against him. When the incursion team, assisted by the Mubina Town police, arrived at his house, the suspect resisted and began to broadcast live from a nearby street.
During the live session, Jani allegedly incited women present to participate in indecent acts and told them that they undress as a form of protest. Amid the shock, he allegedly attacked a FIA officer with an acute tool, inflicting serious injuries.
The suspect was finally arrested along with three women from his home, identified as Fehmida, Ghazala and Kainat. The four were transferred to Sukkur for more legal procedures. The authorities said the case arose from a complaint in which the defendant allegedly attracted a man to make himself friends with a woman named Reshma by phone.
Later, the victim received objectable and manipulated videos, after which Jani allegedly extorted more than 4 million rupees and demanded additional RS7, threatening to make the videos public. There has also been a separate case at the Local Police station for the attack against a government official during the arrest operation.
