- Tim Cook made fun of something in the air this week
- It is not an event invitation, but a teaser video for something new
- If the rumors are correct, we could see a new macbook air with M4 or a new iPad
Fresh rumors flats on a MacBook Air update with the last super speed M4 chip, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, is causing something in the ‘air’ this week. It is likely to be a very intelligent choice of words, but this confirms that there is at least one Apple launch on the horizon.
As with the provocation of what turned out to be the 16E iPhone, Tim Cook led X (previously Twitter), writing “this week.” And then a six -second teaser video. Although it shows no product, it shows a word individually at the same time, writing: there is something in the air. And that points to two of Apple’s products: the 13 and 15 -inch MacBook Air and the iPad Air.
Suggesting speed is the fact that something slides through the word air, causing a wave effect. That could be a new Macbook Air or an iPad Air, probably with an improved courtesy of Apple Silicon.
The Teaser, which was published at 10:54 am et on March 3, 2025, occurs a day after Mark Gurman of Bloomberg shared that Apple’s planned update for MacBook Air with the M4 chip could come as soon as this week.
Apple initially started the M4 chip in May 2024 with the iPad Pro and then took it to Imac, Mac Mini and Macbook Pro (14 inches and 16 inches) in October 2024. So it can be said that it is time to reach the most popular and portable portable computer of Apple, the MacBook Air.
We do not expect a very different design with the new MacBook Air, but the M4 chip could accelerate the tasks thanks to a CPU and an improved GPU, and it could also be better in Apple Intelligence thanks to the largest jumps with the neuronal engine. It should also help further stretch battery life.
Tim Cook also chose an important set of words that have some history in Apple. It is possible to remember that before Steve Jobs took out the original Macbook Air from Manila envelope, the event made fun of the sub-line, “2008 there is something in the air.” This time, there is more emphasis on the AIR.
Given that this provocation of Apple does not specify a new addition to the family, we could obtain more than a new product of the technological giant based in Cupertino.
According to recent reports, Apple is also preparing an improved iPad Air and a new entry level iPad, probably the 12th generation. Apple updated the iPad air, knocking down ID in the face and a design that was more similar to the iPad Pro in May 2024, but it could be improving the performance by the M3 or M4 chip, as well as the new accessories.
With respect to the base input level iPad, you must also see an improvement of speed, but rumors suggest that it will be about it. In the same report as Macbook Air, Bloomberg said iPad launches could be further.
However, we will know soon, since Apple says that the news will be held this week. Of course, stay with Techradar for the latter as we break down what Apple has in the store. Meanwhile, I ask Siri to play a Phil Collins classic – In the air tonight.
