Matthew Tkachuk is no stranger to fighting on the main stage.

When game 3 of the Stanley Cup final got out of control (the Panthers hit Edmonton, 6-1, to take an advantage of the 2-1 series), things were put to Chippy and the Panthers knew they probably worse.
Tkachuk, who has found himself in similar situations before, saw writing on the wall and wanted his team to prepare.

That initial fight took each player on the ice to find a partner for the duel, and the referees simply let the fight run out.
