
Tom Hanks is mourning for the loss of NASA’s astronaut, James Lovell.
After the heartbreaking news of Lovell’s disappearance at 97, on Thursday, through The New York TimesHanks, who played Lovell in the 1995 movie Apollo 13He paid tribute to the late astronaut by taking his Instagram account on Friday.
In the obituary position, the 69 -year -old actor wrote a moving note praising the remarkable achievements of Lovell.
“There are people who dare, who dream and lead others to the places where we would not go on our own,” began the Oscar winning actor.
“Jim Lovell, who for a long time had gone more to space and for longer than any other person on our planet, was that type of type,” he said about NASA’s commander.
Hanks continued to say: “His many trips around the earth and for so close to the moon were not made for wealth or celebrities, but because challenges like those are the ones that feed the course of being alive, and who is better than Jim Lovell to make those trips.”
“On this full moon night, he passes to the heavens, to the cosmos, to the stars. God accelerates you, on this next trip, Jim Lovell,” he concluded.
It is pertinent to mention that Lovell, also known as Jim, who was also the former Marine Test Pilot, took four space missions during his life.
