Tommy Devito not only moves teams in the NFL, you also have to move from your childhood home.
New England patriots claimed exemptions after the New York giants cut it before the 2025 season.
The 27 -year -old was not just a fans favorite for his local New Jersey roots, but also came out that the field marshal never moved from his parents’ house in Cedar Grove, just a few minutes from the Metlife stadium.

But the man who has been nicknamed “Tommy Cutlets” does not add up to New England without some of his favorite things from home, especially his mother’s Italian food.
“There will be frozen chops that fill the freezer, ensure that he has all his homemade sauces and all those other good things,” said Devito Agent, Sean Stellato, to People Skyler Caruso.
Stellato reacted to his client who was renounced, since the giants kept the Russell Wilson quartbacks, their holder of week 1, Jameis Winston and the first round of Jaxson Dart’s first round.

“Tommy is such a fierce competitor and obviously loving his hometown team, I mean he was definitely disappointing,” he said. “Obviously he loved the opportunity to play for his favorite team.”
But, as Stellato knows, the NFL business does not always guarantee that a player remains with a team, even if it is the device growing.
“It’s ready to make the transition,” Stellato said. “Wait for the opportunity and challenges in front of him to be a member of the New England patriots.”
The Patriots already have a franchise field marshal instead under the new chief coach Mike Vrabel, since Drake May is expected to jump in his second season after a solid base was built in his rookie campaign despite the 4-13 record of the team in 2024.

Behind Maye is Joshua Dobbs, Journeyman’s Marshal who has her own nickname as Devito. “Pastronaut” was the nickname given to Tennessee’s product that studied aerospace engineering at the university.
Dobbs is expected to be Maye’s support throughout the season, but as Devito knows very well, circumstances such as injuries could have canceled their number at some point.
Devito’s fame in New York arrived in 2023 when he started six games after Daniel Jones was lost for the season after a tear of LCA. It was 3-3 during that period, completing 64% of its passes for 1,101 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions.
Devito was also called last season after the giants moved from Jones in the middle of the season, but it did not do well in their two openings before Drew Lock took over. Although he completed 70% of his passes, Devito launched only 257 yards without touchdowns.
However, Devito shone in the time he played this preseason in a field marshal room full of people. With Dart as a first round selection, and shining in its own right, it was always going to be a question about Winston or Devito if the giants wanted to take three quarterbacks.

Devito had a difficult decision after 30 of 38 this preseason for 323 yards with four touchdown passes and an interception.
The giants ended up continuing, and the Patriots rushed to snatch it and put it on the active list to start the season.
