According to Data Golf, Morikawa and English’s pairing classified as the worst group of 132 possible matches of Ryder Cup. But when Fleetwood is in the course, it may not matter who is out there.
Winning is fun, and Rory Mcilroy was enjoying his time with Fleetwood, committing to some fans.
Mcilroy talked about interacting with fans earlier this week and trying to find a happy medium.

“Sometimes I feel in the Ryder Cup, I have committed … too much with the crowd. But then there are times when I have not committed enough. So you are really just trying to find the balance of using that energy of the crowd to feed its performance,” McCilroy said Thursday. “I felt that in Hazeltine, I probably got too involved, and then whistling narrow, I did not get involved enough and felt quite flat because of that. He is just trying to find that balance.”
The Captain of Europe, Luke, Donald, praised Fleetwood, who did not win a PGA event until last month, for being a “world class” player.
“I think Tommy is a guy who loves being close to the team. He loves to contribute to that team. Yes, he is a good player to play. I think he is at the top of the list of many boys in the team with which people want to play,” Donald said on Friday.
