More than a decade ago since Russell Wilson went to the Seattle Seahawks Marshal to consecutive appearances in the Super Bowl.
After a decade with the Seahawks, Wilson left Seattle after the 2021 season. He then had a tumultuous two -year period with the Denver Broncos and spent 2024 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wilson began his last chapter with the New York giants this season, but was relegated to a backup role after only three games.
The last setback in the Super Bowl champion and the race 10 times Pro Bowler raised questions about his short -term future of the NFL and his legacy. The member of the Football Hall of Football Tony González was one of those who expressed doubts about whether Wilson would one day would wear the coveted gold jacket.

González was part of Prime video coverage of the game on Thursday night between the Seahawks and the Arizona cardinals. At one time during the transmission, González shared his thoughts on Wilson’s perspectives to be consecrated in Canton.
“Honestly, I hope we have done it … If there was ever someone who played from a hall of fame, it is Russell Wilson. And I say it because he looks what happened. Since he left Seattle, when he was in Seattle, he was the man. He was doing these good works. He won a Super Bowl, went to two of them.”

González then pointed out Wilson’s turbulent race with other NFL teams since they left Seahawks.
“But as soon as he left, he went to Denver, signed that big problem. He was paid $ 39 million to leave. He goes to Pittsburgh, plays there a year, is out of there. Now he goes (to New York) and has three games. I just don’t know if he will improve and I don’t want to see him in a lateral line that has a clipboard.
Brian Daboll speaks of the giants who begin Jaxson Dart about Russell Wilson: “It’s my decision”
“I just don’t think he has done any favor since Seattle left. And how will he improve? I don’t know.”
Richard Sherman, a former member of the famous defense of the “Legion of Boom” of the Seahawks, also intervened in Wilson’s career.
“I agree. I think you have to judge his career when the ‘Boom Legion’ was there, he had a legendary defense, a defense of all time and how much success he had, and then without that legendary defense.”

Sherman then pointed out the lack of victories that Wilson has managed to produce since Seattle left.
“He was a winning soccer player in Seattle,” Sherman continued. “And now you can go alone, and you can demonstrate: ‘Hey, I am this great field marshal. I am this guy who will be dominant.’ And it simply has not worked that way.”
Wilson was recruited in the third round in 2012. He obtained the initial role as a rookie and then evolved from what many saw as a game manager in one of the most athletic and independent quartbacks of the NFL.
The giants released their game of week 3 to the Kansas City Chiefs to remain without victories entering their confrontation of week 4 with the undefeated Chargers of Los Angeles. Wilson worked well in a narrow defeat in extra time against Dallas Cowboys in week 2.
However, a mediocre that is shown in two of three games this season led the giants to Bench Wilson.
Despite the bench, Wilson is still sure of his ability to continue playing the game at a high level.
“I know I’m a winner,” he said Wednesday after he lost his initial work. “I know how to have the mentality of the championship. The winners do not choose and choose. The leaders do not choose and choose when they want to lead and when they want to help and communicate as a winner or whatever. Those are the things I know and I can control. So, in that I am focused.”
The rookie field marshal Jaxson Dart will have his first race on Sunday at East Rutherford, New Jersey.
