Tourists flock to picturesque Neelam Valley amid snowfall

A huge rush of tourists from various parts of the country thronged the picturesque snow-capped Neelam Valley in Azad Jammu Kashmir on Sunday.

After more than three months of dry weather, the highest reaches of the picturesque valley hit the third highest snowfall, delighting residents and tourists.

Subordinate Graze Valley has not liked the central points after intermittent heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of the snowy Neelam Valley, sources in the State Disaster Management Authority told APP.

Tourist hotspots in the scenic hilly terrain of the picturesque valley witnessed varying degrees of medium to high snowfall.

The popular snow-covered resorts in the picturesque valley became playgrounds for tourists from various parts of Pakistan and AJK, capturing memorable moments and expressing joy by playing in the snow.

Meanwhile, the forecast anticipates the possibility of light to moderate rain or snow at many places on both sides of the Line of Control in the state of IIOJ&K, with heavy snowfall expected in the isolated upper reaches of Illegally Occupied Kashmir Division. across India, including districts such as Kupwara. , Baramulla, Bandi-pora, Ganderbal, Shopian, Anantnag and Kulgam, says a report coming from across the Line of Control (LoC).

According to the AJKSDMA, residents of these high-altitude areas have been strictly advised to exercise caution and avoid venturing into avalanche-prone areas for the next 24 hours.

It recommends that people stay informed about the situation and follow safety guidelines to mitigate the risk of possible avalanches in snow-covered areas.
