Peshawar:
The tourist and picturesque places of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa witnessed an extraordinary influx of visitors, with more than 932,000 tourists visiting only three days during Eidul Azha.
The Swat region, in particular, saw a significant influx of tourists. The famous destinations within Swat, such as Madyan, Bahrein and its surroundings, welcomed a total of 288,424 national tourists, along with 63 foreign visitors. These figures highlight Swat’s popularity as a main attraction for Pakistani tourists during EID holidays.
Throughout the province, other important tourist places also experienced a high number of visitors, including Galiyat, 177,000 tourists; Naran Kaghan, 168,000 tourists; Malam Jabba, 160,000 tourists; and say upper, 85,000 tourists.
These statistics were compiled with the assistance of the police control points and Baluchistan, the Tourism Police, the attendees and the field officers of the relevant development authorities.
According to the directives of Prime Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur and Tourism Advisor Zahid Chanzeb, excellent facilities were provided to tourists.
Visitors praised effective arrangements for parking, safety, orientation and medical assistance. Young tourism police staff provided an exemplary service to tourists, while the help line of the Tourism Department 1422 remained operational 24 hours a day.
The significant arrival of tourists in fused districts such as Khyber and Bajaur also highlighted emerging tourism development in these areas.
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority played a fundamental role in the management of tourist arrangements, the supervision and provision of facilities.
Tourism Advisor Zahid Chanzeb declared that the confidence shown by tourists is a source of pride. The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government and the culture and tourism authority are using all the resources available to make the province a safe, modern and world-class tourist center.
