The official trailers of Avengers: Judgment Day and Spider-Man: New Day willpower No will receive their world premieres during this year’s Super Bowl.
That’s according to Deadline, whose sources have indicated that Marvel and Sony will not release new trailers for two of the most anticipated new movies of 2026 during Super Bowl LX, which takes place on Sunday, February 8.
With Spider-Man: New Day due out on July 31, excitement for its debut trailer has been building in the lead-up to this year’s Super Bowl. In fact, following spider man 4The first teaser leaked online last December and rumors that new dayThe inaugural trailer would arrive in mid-January, fans are increasingly convinced that its first footage will be revealed this Sunday.
Meanwhile, behind four Avengers: Judgment Day teasers released between December 19, 2025 and January 9, 2026, Marvel devotees have also speculated that its first trailer will air during Super Bowl 2026. That’s despite Avengers 5 won’t be released until Dec. 18, more than 10 months after this year’s edition of the NFL title showdown game.
Why don’t the trailers for Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man 4 debut during the 2026 Super Bowl?
However, Deadline’s report has thrown cold water on the chances of either wish coming true.
The American media has stated that Disney has reserved advertising space in the Super Bowl for the next Star Wars movie. The Mandalorian and Grogu, and Pixar’s big screen offerings for 2026 Hoppers and toy story 5. However, Marvel, which has routinely released trailers for its upcoming films during previous Super Bowls, is believed to not be participating this year. Deadline did not explain why this is likely to be the case, but, with Doomsday With its release still 10 months away, a trailer may simply not be ready to be shown yet.
The deadline has indicated that Spider-Man: New Day will also be absent from the procedure. However, considering Sony hasn’t released a single Super Bowl trailer for many years, that’s not as big a surprise as it may seem to many.
Regardless, Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans have naturally reacted with disappointment that trailers for the Marvel Phase 6 pair will be conspicuous by their absence. Threads on Reddit pages including r/marvelstudios, r/marvelstudiospoilers, and r/movies are filled with comments from those whose hopes have been dashed by Deadline’s report.
Of course, Marvel and/or Sony could surprise us and release trailers for the next adventures of the Avengers and Spider-Man. However, given Deadline’s ultra-reliable track record on scoops, I’d be surprised if footage from either or both films were shown during this year’s Super Bowl.
