The legend of tennis Martina Navratilova criticized USA is an enamel after an enamel woman knelt when she refused to compete against a transgender athlete in an event during the weekend.
Stephanie Turner made the decision not to compete against Trans Redmond Sullivan at Cherry Blossom Open in Maryland. Instead, she decided to kneel. The referee treated Turner a black card, which represents the most severe penalty in sport. She told Pak Gazette Digital that she was later escorted outside the event and that she was signed a document that recognized the penalty.
The moment went viral on social networks on Wednesday, and Navratilova, who has become a justice defender in women’s sports, intervened.

“This is what happens when female athletes protest! Anyone still thinks that this is fair? I am sinking … and shame in @usafencing, shame for doing this. How dare you throw women under gender bulls? She wrote in X.
The former close of the NCAA Juliana Peceli also intervened.
“As a corner of D1 @Cana withdrawal, I was forced to compete against men who claimed to be women. Female athletes dedicate our lives to our sport, just for men to take our places, our titles and our future,” he wrote in X.
“Congratulations to women who refuse to accept this injustice.”
USA FENING responded to the incident in a statement to Pak Gazette Digital.
“Use Fencing promulgated our current transgender and non -binary athlete policy in 2023. The policy was designed to expand access to the sport of the fence and create inclusive and safe spaces. Politics is based on the principle that everyone should have the ability to participate in sports and was based on the available research of the day,” reads the statement.
“We respect the views on all sides and encourage our members to continue sharing them with us as the matter evolves. It is important that the fencing community participates in this dialogue, but we hope that this conversation will be carried out respectfully, either in our tournaments or in online spaces. The way of progress is a respectful discussion based on evidence.”
A US spokesman for Fox Digital also told Pak Gazette that Turner was not penalized for his posture against trans inclusion, but simply for refusing to the fence.

“In the case of Stephanie Turner, his disqualification was not related to any personal statement, but was simply the direct result of his decision to refuse to fence an eligible opponent, which the Fiesto governs clearly,” said the spokesman.
“According to the FIE technical rules (International Federation of Velimas), specifically article T.113, a feator is not allowed to refuse to fence another fencing duly entered for any reason. According to these rules, such rejection results in disqualification and the corresponding sanctions. This policy exists to maintain the standards of fair competition and preserve the integrity of the sport.”
Turner told Pak Gazette Digital that he was a lifelong Democrat, but the idea of having biological men in female sports never sat with her. She said she identifies as a “new republican conservative.”

“I voted for a network for the ticket this year,” Turner said. “It was like waking up with the lies of the main media … just seeing many of my friends have this appearance of glassy eyes and just defending this policy because their brains cannot handle the possibility that their party or position has been badly in this, and perhaps this is not a civil rights movement, and have been deceived.”
