The former US gymnast and founder of the women’s Sportswear brand of women, Jennifer Sey, participated in a debate with the pro-transgender activist Kevin Bolling, executive director of the Secular Student Alliance, on the topic of Trans Athletes in Women’s Sports on Wednesday.
The debate was sponsored by the Steamboat Institute and took place at the University of Colorado, the Benson Center of Boulder for the study of Western civilization.
Based on the data before and after the debate compiled from the audience, Sey’s position on transposed trans athletes in women’s sports seemed to be the winning argument.

The survey prior to the debate found that 85% of the attendees did not agree with allowing trans athletes in women’s sports, while 9% agreed with it, and 6% were undecided. In the survey after the Debato, the percentage of those who did not agree with Trans inclusion jumped to 90%, while those who agreed with it fell to 6%, and the undecided fell to 3%.
Sey’s case, which she repeated throughout the debate, was “based on reality.”
At first, Sey insisted that he did not want to use the term “biological woman” in the debate.

“I will not use a biological woman because she insists that there is another type of woman. There is no. There is only one woman,” said Sey. “There has been intimidation in culture around the language that we cannot use … I try to use terms that reflect biological reality.”
Sey also cited multiple statistics throughout the night, related to the natural physical qualities that often provide physical advantages over women, and a United Nations study to find that almost 900 biological females have not reached victories because they have been defeated by transgender athletes.
The study “,Violence against women and girls in sports“He discovered that more than 600 athletes did not measure in more than 400 competitions in 29 different sports, with a total of more than 890 medals, according to the information obtained until March 30.

Sey’s argument was also based on the belief that sports, especially on a high level, are not destined to be “inclusive” to any particular group, and that sports are supposed to be “exclusive” for the sake of competitiveness.
Meanwhile, Bolling’s argument against Sey was based on the premise of advancing in transgender rights as a whole.
During the debate, Bolling admitted that supporting trans inclusion in women’s sports, at this time, was not a “popular” position. He then compared the issue of trans inclusion with the movements of previous civil rights, including the right of women to vote, racial segregation and even “ending slavery”, claiming that advocating these issues was not popular in the past either.
“Civil rights are not a popular contest,” said Bolling.
