They are necessary and will be made to absolutely international medical standards,” he said during an availability of media. “I would not have activated this path in 2016, 2017 to protect the female category in sport if it had been more than prepared to face the front challenge.
“We have been in the Court of Arbitration for Sports in our [difference of sexual development] DSD regulations. They have been confirmed, and again have been confirmed after the appeal. We will stubbornly protect the female category and do whatever it is necessary to do so. And we are not just talking about that. “
