The NFL draft will take place at the National Mall in 2027, President Donald Trump announced Monday, with the expectation that more than 1 million people will arrive at the event in the course of their three days.
Trump spoke to the right of the desk solved in the Oval Office of the White House. The NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the owner of the Washington commanders team, Josh Harris, and the mayor of DC Muriel Bowser thanked the president for his cooperation in helping to make the agreement.

“The draft has really become one of the great entertainment and sports events,” said Goodell. “More than a week ago in Green Bay, they attended more than 600,000 people. The previous year, in Detroit, we had about 800,000 … We believe we will be more than one million when we come to DC in 2027.
“We not only believe that it is a great site, we believe that it is consistent with what the president said, which he is investing in our communities and specifically invest in the capital of the nation … We believe that we can have a tremendous impact on this community. It will not only be an event. It will be something that will show the world how far the capital of the nation has come and where it goes.”

Harris called him a “great day for Washington.” He presented the president with a command of the commanders and called Trump the “final commander.”
The draft was, at one time, a permanent element in Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The event was held everything in one day. However, when the NFL took the draft along the way, the event moved to three days. Chicago organized him in 2015-16 with Philadelphia and Dallas welcomed him after that.
Goodell announced the selections of your home in the 2020 draft due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Cleveland, Las Vegas, Kansas City and Detroit had it after that.

Pittsburgh will be the host site next year.
