Andrew Giuliani, son of the former mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, was appointed Executive Director of the White House Task Force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Tuesday.
President Donald Trump made the announcement in a real post on Tuesday after holding the first official meeting with the task force. The members of his cabinet and the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, also attended.

“I am proud to announce the appointment of Andrew Giuliani as executive director of the President’s Task Force in the FIFA 2026 World Cup,” said Trump’s announcement.

“During my first term, Andrew served as the special assistant of the president and associate director of the Public Link Office, playing a key role in the creation of the system that allowed athletes around the world to re -enter the United States during the reopening of the United States in 2020”.
In March, Trump signed an executive order established by the working group for the football tournament, which will be organized by the United States, Canada and Mexico. Trump will serve as president of the Task Force, while Vice President JD Vance will serve as vice president. As executive director, Giuliani will have the task of managing and supervising daily operations.
Speaking to the members of the press after the meeting, Trump praised Giuliani and his father, qualifying the latter as the “best” mayor in the history of New York.
