President Donald Trump was one of those who thought that the gain of Rory Mcilroy Masters on Sunday showed exactly what the legendary golfer was done while fighting through the maximums during the round.
Talking to journalists on Air Force One, Trump congratulated Mcilroy, who became the sixth golfer to capture the coveted Grand Slam, winning all the greats of the professional golf.
“I have to congratulate Rory,” Trump said when a journalist asked if he watched the Masters. “That took great courage. It was having a bad time, but showed great guts, resistance and courage.

“People have no idea how hard it is. He returned. It is better for him to happen that way because that showed a real courage to have returned from what could have been a tragedy, it was incredible.”
Trump called the masters “Maybe my favorite sports program”, and loves to see him every year when possible.
He also gave Justin Rose a greeting, the Englishman that Mcilroy had to face in a sudden playoff of death after his putt was lost in his hole 72 of the tournament to collect the victory.

Rose buried a deep Birdie putt in hole 18 to move to 11-go and press Mcilroy, who shook that same hole in the regulation.
“Justin Rose was great,” Trump added, an avid golfer, he added. “Look, they are great athletes under a tremendous pressure. But unless you are a golfer, you do not understand that the hundredth of an inch makes a difference between great shot and a horrible shooting.”

Mcilroy and Rose returned to the Tee 18 box for the sudden death playoff, which would have had a second hole at number 10 if necessary.
But Mcilroy’s approach shot, who lowered a slope at two feet, pressed Rose to bury his opportunity for Birdie. After a long reading around the green, Rose gave her best blow, but she was too left. He ended with a pair and expected the 10 hole to go where he would go below.
Mcilroy did not let him get to that, since he sank the putt in 18 this time and fell on his knees.
At that time, the weight of 11 years without a great victory and finally collecting the Grand Slam race left it while crying.
