Trump National Doral has returned to the PGA Tour calendar.
The Miami station owned by President Donald Trump will organize a PGA Tour firm event next year with a $ 20 million bag during the first weekend of May. The tournament will fall in the middle of a six -week stretch that begins with the masters and ends with the PGA championship.
There will be three signature events in the four weeks between these two specialties.

“We are excited to show the best players in the game that compete in the most emblematic places of golf,” said PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp.
A main sponsor of what is called the Miami Championship has not yet been determined.

Doreal became part of the PGA Tour calendar in 1962, but after Trump bought the complex, he struggled to constantly secure a sponsor of the title. The tour finally transferred its Trump Dora to Mexico City in 2016, which led to presidential candidate Trump to comment: “I hope they have kidnapping insurance.”
While the PGA Tour distanced Trump Doral, Liv Golf, backed by Saudi, hugged him, organizing tournaments there in each of the last four years. However, that streak will end in 2026, although Trump National, on the outskirts of Washington, DC, will organize an LIV event.
Before the 2025 Liv Golf stop in Trump Doral, the 47th President expressed optimism about a potential fusion between the two rival tours.

The PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, even called Trump the “facilitator” earlier this year, as the discussions between the leagues continue without an agreement ended more than two years after he was announced for the first time.
“Ultimately, hopefully, the two tours will merge. That will be good. I am also involved in that,” Trump said in April. “But I hope we are going to make the two tours merge. You have the PGA Tour and the Liv Tour. And I think that having them mergers would be a big thing.”
Monahan echoed that feeling in March.
“These conversations are real. They are substantial and are being taken at the upper levels of both organizations. These conversations have been significantly reinforced by President Trump’s disposition to serve as a facilitator,” said Monahan.

“President Trump is a lifelong golf fan. He firmly believes in the power and potential of the game, and has been extremely generous in his time and influence to help unite an agreement. He wants to see the game reunified. We want to see the game reunified, and his participation has made the perspective of the reunification very real.”
The new Miami Championship will begin the week of April 27, 2026, with the first round played on April 30.
