President Donald Trump criticized the new NFL start rule on Monday, qualifying it as “exact opposite to what football is treated.”

The dynamic start rule was implemented before the beginning of the 2024 season. The new directive created a landing zone between the final zone and the 20 -yard line. The players of each team expect between the 30 -yard and 40 yards lines for the ball to be received or demolished.

Trump expressed his disgust with the launch rule last season too.

“The NFL has to get rid of that new ridiculous kick rule,” he wrote about Truth Social. “How can they make such a big and radical change as easy and fast? It is at least as dangerous as the ‘normal’ beginning and it seems (hell). The ball moves and players are not, exactly the opposite of what football is treated.

“The ‘Sissy’ football is bad for the United States, and bad for the NFL! Who can you think of these ridiculous ideas? It’s like wanting to ‘reverse’ the golf ball so that it does not go (almost!) So much. Fortunately, university football will continue to be the same, hopefully forever!”

The league settings at the beginning seemed to pay great dividends in week 1. The teams returned 75.6% of the kicks kick last week, the highest rate at any week since the 2010 season.

However, the rule seemed to be confusing for some, since the rookie of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kaleb Johnson, suffered a big mistake against the Seattle Seahawks.

Johnson let the ball bounce in the annotation zone, but the Seahawks ran through the field to recover. Seattle won the game.
