President Donald Trump negotiated the fire between Israel and Iran through conversations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, while his team, including vice president JD Vance, held conversations with Tehran, said a senior White House official.

The official, who provides details of the high heat under condition of anonymity, said that Israel agreed as long as they will not throw new attacks. Iran said no more attacks would be carried out, said the official.

Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the special envoy of the United States Steve Witkoff were involved in direct and indirect communications with Iran, said the official.

Trump said Monday that a high “complete and total” fire between Israel and Iran would go into force in the next few hours, moments after both parties threatened new attacks.

Iran launched missiles against an American air base, without causing victims, after American bombers fell to the 30,000 -pound bunker at Iranian underground nuclear facilities during the weekend.

The official said Trump asked for conversations with Israel and Iran shortly after the United States attacks.

“He directed his team on Saturday night: ‘Let’s go to the phone … with the Iranians,” said the official. “‘Get me Bibi. We’re going to make peace,” said the official, citing Trump.

Trump’s team had negotiated with Iran on five different occasions in the weeks prior to the conflict, but the conversations broke when Iran would not move away from his demand for the continuing to enrich the uranium.

Trump announced Thursday that he would make a decision on the US use of force “in two weeks”, but for Saturday afternoon he had ordered the United States to bomb the Iranian facilities.

The unprecedented decision of Trump to bombard the nuclear sites of Iran Early on Sunday marked a step he had promised for a long time to avoid, intervene militarily in a great foreign war.

Moving to join us Ally Israel in military attacks caused concern within its political base of “making the United States great again”, which has clung to its promises to avoid foreign tangles.

A high fire, if it is maintained, can calm that criticism and reinforce Trump’s representation itself as a peacemaker.

The high fire emerged from a day of conversations that Trump made in the Oval office. The president spoke directly with Netanyahu, who has been a defender in all the conflict of greater US military participation.

Trump has “shown restriction” and made it clear that he maintained the interests of the United States focused on his goal, the official said.
