The president of the NCAA, Charlie Baker, said Monday that he was “prepared for anything” when asked about the reports that President Donald Trump is ready to create a commission about university sports.
The Presidential Commission would address the problems of the University Sports Panorama that faces former Alabama Crimson Tide soccer coach, Nick Saban and billionaire Cody Campbell, reported that Yahoo Sports reported last week.

“I think that the fact that there is an interest on the executive side in this, I think he speaks of the fact that everyone is paying close attention at this time to what is happening in university sports,” Baker said, through Raleigh News & Observer. “Many things are happening, that is not bad, and I am prepared for anything that helps us to get somewhere.”
The commissioners of the main conferences in the NCAA have already asked Congress to intervene to help NCAA regulate the name, image and likeness (NIL) and the transfer portal.
Greg Sankey, Jim Phillips, Tony Petitti and Brett Yormark were in Capitol Hill last month. Yormark, Commissioner Big 12, admitted Bret Baier on “special report”, “we need help from Congress.”

“The volume of laws that are being approved at the state level really makes us regulate and compete at the national level,” Petiti added. “Every time someone does not like a decision, or something comes from the NCAA, we end up in litigation. Those rules are added and we return to the beginning.
“We hope that the combination of what we have done in the agreement gives us an opportunity, with the help of Congress, to really put a system in a place that has some stability.
“We have crossed the bridge of being willing to provide income … but we need to have some structure. We cannot have a system that has a complete unregulated movement.”
It is not clear when the commission would end.

The NCAA and the university athletes have hoped that the Chamber Agreement of $ 2.8 billion will be approved. It will allow schools to share income with athletes directly for the use of their null.
