The world of sport was beaten with an stunner on Friday night when George Foreman’s family announced that he had died earlier in the day at the age of 76.
A sports fan, President Donald Trump remembered the legendary boxer in a real social position on Saturday morning.
“George Foreman is dead. What a great fighter!” Trump wrote. “He had, without a doubt, the heaviest and biggest blow in the history of boxing. With the exception of [Muhammad] Ali, when they hit you, you went down. It was something really special, but above all, he was a great person, with a personality that was bigger than life. I knew him well and we will miss him. The warmest condolences to his wonderful family! “

Trump’s position arrived hours before his expected appearance in the WIND Division I Wrest Championship in Philadelphia.
Foreman became an Olympic gold medalist in 1968 when he defeated Jonas čepulis of the Soviet Union in that year Mexico City Olympic Games, but was more prominent for his great games against legendary boxers Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier.

In 1994, at 45, Foreman defeated Michael Moorer, a 19 -year -old boxer than him, to claim the heavyweight title. Foreman became the oldest heavyweight world champion in boxing history; It is still the second oldest champion in any kind of weight.
Then he retired forever in 1997 at the age of 48, with a final record of 76 victories, with 68 by knockout, and only 5 losses.

In his career after the box, Foreman became a successful entrepreneur when he authorized his similarity to the Salton, Inc. appliance company, now known as Russell Hobbs Inc., to launch the George Foreman Grill, a portable electric grill that became a common domestic apparatus, selling more than 100 million units.
