Washington: President Donald Trump has dismissed the reports that Iran moved the enriched uranium before the recent US air attacks, saying that there were no signs that the material was relocated.

The statements, based on a classified report, raised questions about how much damage the strikes really caused the Iran nuclear program. But the White House has said that uranium is still buried under the rubble in the target sites.

Trump, anxious to take the credit to order the strikes and then quickly announce the fire between Israel and Iran, reacted with anger to the media coverage of a classified report that questioned the scale of damage to Iranian nuclear facilities.

One of the key concerns raised by the experts is whether they will, anticipating the strike, moved around 400 kilograms (880 pounds) of enriched uranium, which can now be hidden in another part of the country.

“I can tell him that the United States had no indications that this enriched uranium was transferred before the strikes, as I also saw falsely reported,” said White House Secretary Karoline Leavitt in an interview with Fox News.

“As for what is on the ground at this time, it is buried under miles and miles of debris due to the success of these attacks on Saturday night,” he added.
