President Donald Trump again pointed to Washington’s commanders for the infamous change of name of the franchise, this time during a White House event.
During a ceremony for the signing of an executive order to restore the presidential physical aptitude test, Trump addressed a question about his recent demands for the franchise to change his name to the Redskins.
“I don’t even know what the hell is his last name,” Trump said. “Are they commanders or something? Are they commanders? Commanders, isn’t it a good name.”

Trump called the “legendary” redskins and suggested that the team “brought the name.”
Trump has asked Cleveland’s guardians to change his name to the Indians and did it again on Thursday at the White House.

“And, I mean, Cleveland Indians. How was that? That was an original original franchise: 1903 or something, 1906. An original of Cleveland Indians, and what do they do? They change the name of the Indians.
“What happens to the word ‘Indian?’ Do you know who is upset about that?

Recently, Trump recently asked the teams to change their names on social networks and even suggested that they could try to block the funds for the new stadium project of $ 3.7 billion of Washington at the site of the old RFK stadium.
The project is in the design and negotiation phase, with an innovative planned by 2026 and an early opening in 2030. The organization is working with the DC Council to end the agreement.
