President Donald Trump is confident about the security of host cities months ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup that will take center stage, telling reporters before the draw in Washington, D.C., that the government will “address” any concerns if necessary.

“No, I don’t want to do that, but I will tell you that if you have a problem when we get there, we will take care of that problem,” Trump said. “We can solve that problem. I’ve proven that in DC and everywhere else we’ve gone, so we’ll take care of that problem very easily.

“So if they have a problem, hopefully they’ll let us know and we’ll figure it out.”
