President Donald Trump signed an executive order to establish new restrictions on payments to university athletes on Thursday.
The order prohibits athletes from receiving paid payments from third -party sources.
However, the order does not impose restrictions on null payments to university athletes by third party sources.

Colleges and universities can now pay their athletes directly after the camera settlement v. NCAA last month. With the universities that offer for the services of the best soccer and male basketball players in the nation, concerns increased about what resources would be available to women’s sports and male sports without income.

Trump’s executive order demands that schools represent the preservation of resources for sports that are not entry.
“The order establishes that any exchange of income allowed between universities and university athletes must be implemented in a way that protects women’s sports and non -income,” says the order. “The order requires preservation and, when possible, the expansion of opportunities for scholarships and university sports competition in women’s sports and without income.”

Clear guidelines would not be provided on how these sports would be counted in the initial announcement.
In addition, the order also assigns the United States Attorney General, the Secretary of Labor, the assistant of the President of the National Policy and the director of the Public Link Office of the White House to carry out other tasks that protect the rights of the athletes.
