President Donald Trump made a stop at his Turnberry course in Scotland on Saturday during his trip abroad.
Trump landed in Scotland on Friday for a five -day trip, and plans to visit his golf complex in Aberdee and meet with British Prime Minister Kier Starmer and the head of the Scottish government, Prime Minister John Swinney.
Trump and his son Eric played with the American ambassador to Britain Warren Stephens.

The president published a video assembly of several of his shots of his round in Turnberry and subtitled it with an appointment about the famous course attributed to the Golf Gary legend player.

“Gary’s great player: ‘Turnberry is, without a question, among the five best golf courses I have played in my 73 years as a professional.” Thanks, Gary! “Trump wrote about Truth Social.
The course organized four open championships (1977, 1986, 1994 and 2009), but after the disturbances of the Capitol in 2021, the Royal and Ancient (R&A) Golf Club announced that the open championship would not return there “until it trusts that any coverage in Turnberry would be about the golf, on the golf course and about the championship.”

Hundreds of protesters gathered in the cobblestone and the wooded street in front of the United States Consulate about 100 miles away in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. The speakers said that the crowd that Trump was not welcome and criticized Starmer for reaching a recent commercial agreement to avoid rigid tariffs of the imported products of the United Kingdom.

The player, who won two senior open championships in the course, begged with the R&A course to reverse last year and praised the resort.
“It must return. Justice in life. Some could say that Donald Trump did … What about any other president? Everyone did something wrong. Not only Donald Trump. Each of them. He says in the Bible: forgive us of our raids while we forgive them that invaded them,” said the player.

“It is wrong and it is cruel and it is unfair not for the open to return to Turnberry because it is the best golf course. ESO and Carnoustie. Carnoustie and Trump Turnberry are the two best golf courses in Scotland.”
A report at the beginning of this year said that the PGA Tour will return to Trump Doral next year for the first time since 2016, months before becoming president for the first time. Trump bought Turnberry Resort for $ 60 million in 2014.
The last professional golf tournament to be held in Turnberry was the British Open of Women 2015, won by Inbee Park. It has hosted seven senior open championships, more recently in 2012.
The four open championships were won by Tom Watson, Greg Norman, Nick Price and Stewart Cink.
