Before a LIV golf event at his National Golf Club of Trump in Miami, President Donald Trump is organizing members of the tour in the course.
The PGA commissioner, Jay Monahan, recently described Trump the “facilitator” of the ongoing discussions between the two golf tours, but almost two years since the announcement of the bomb was made of a possible agreement, there has not been one.
Trump gave his position about what he expects to happen on his way south of Florida.

“Ultimately, hopefully, the two tours will merge. That will be good. I am also involved in that,” Trump said. “But I hope we are going to make the two tours merge. You have the PGA Tour and the Liv Tour. And I think that having them mergers would be a big thing.”
Trump called Liv’s golfers, a list that includes Brooks Koepka, Bryson Dechambeau, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and others, “some of the best players in the world.”
In February, the PGA Tour accredited Trump for “[getting] involved for the good of the game “, and it seems that there has been movement since it became involved.
“These conversations are real. They are substantial, and are being taken at the highest levels of both organizations. These conversations have been significantly reinforced by President Trump’s disposition to serve as a facilitator,” said Monahan last month. “President Trump is a lifelong golf fan. He firmly believes in the power and potential of the game, and has been extremely generous in his time and influence to help unite an agreement. He wants to see the game reunified. We want to see the game reunified, and his participation has made the perspective of the reunification very real.”

Monahan added: “We believe that there is space to integrate important aspects of LIV’s golf on the PGA Tour platform,” and said that “a future” could imagine “in which the governor of the Yasir Public Investment Fund Yasir al-Rumayyan can join the Board of the tour.
“We are doing everything possible to gather both sides. That said, we will not do it in a way that decreases the strength of our platform or the very real impulse with our fans and our partners,” he said, and added that “the obstacles remain” between both sides.
Trump last month expressed optimism, the two parties will get some Type of treatment made.
“They will have to gather,” he said. “They have had a lot of discussion from one place to another. Both mean and finally an agreement will happen. I think it will happen quite fast. It would be good to see the best golfers play each other.”

“They are all great people, and they want to solve it,” Trump added. “So, if I can help solve it … I don’t get any of that. I can help them solve it. I think golf is an individual sport, and want to see the best players playing with each other and not play in two different locations.”
Trump courses have organized several LIV events since its inception, organizing the last PGA event in the mid -2010.
