The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said he will start talking with China on Monday or Tuesday about a possible Tiktok agreement.

He said that the United States “practically” has an agreement on the sale of the Tiktok Short-Video application.

“I think we are going to start on Monday or Tuesday […] Speaking to China, perhaps President Xi Jinping or one of his representatives, but we would have an agreement, “Trump told reporters in Air Force One.

Last month, Trump extended a deadline for China with headquarters to disintert the American assets of Tiktok to September 17.

This spring had been in process to avoid American operations of Tiktok in a new company based in the United States, majority property and operated by US investors, but was suspended after China indicated that it would not approve it after Trump ads pronounced tariffs on Chinese products.

Trump said the United States will probably have to obtain an agreement approved by China.

When asked how sure he was that China would agree with an agreement, he said: “I’m not sure, but I think so.”

“President Xi and I have a great relationship, and I think it’s good for them. I think the treatment is good for China and is good for us.”

Last week, during an interview with the Fox NewsPresident Trump had claimed to have found a buyer for the Tiktok.

The president of the United States said that the agreement he is developing would probably need China’s approval to move forward and predicted that President XI would probably approve.
