The legendary Deportivo Bob Costas criticized several media organizations for how they dealt with President Donald Trump while talking at an event at the University of Syracuse on Monday night.
The ancient voice of baseball and the Olympic Games reached the decision of ABC News to establish themselves with the president on the comments of George Stephanopoulos for the demand of E. Jean Carroll. Costas also exacerbated Paramount for attempts to resolve a demand for “60 minutes.” He described the ABC news agreement and the Paramount offer informed as a “rescue.”

Costas said that media companies make mistakes and have “blind points and out of place, but said that no one should jump to make Trump’s correction if it only benefits it, according to Mediaite.
“But if the answer to that is Maga Media, if the answer to that is the vision of the world of Donald Trump, which is only through a prism of what benefits it, there are no higher ideals,” Costas said. “There are no principles at work other than what benefits it. I will stay with where we are without correction if the correction is what Donald Trump represents.
“And what has also happened here is that, because he is the president, to some extent, who he is and what he does, and what is done in his name, has been normalized so that responsible journalists have to pretend that there are always two sides.

Costas suggested that the networks did not need someone to defend Trump or the White House on issues in the name of objectivity or be balanced.
“Look, if someone states that the earth is flat, to look objective, he is not obliged to say: ‘Well, maybe it could be oblong.’ No, it is not,” he said. “Certain things are true. And unfortunately, something that is true in the United States at this time is that the president of the United States has absolutely no consideration, and in fact has contempt, due to the basic American principles and the basic common decency.”

Costas received the Fred Dressler Leadership Award, which “is awarded to individuals or organizations that have made different, consistent and unique contributions to the understanding of the media public,” according to the Newhouse School website.
