President Donald Trump recently met with members of the PGA tour, including Tiger Woods, in efforts to obtain the LIV golf and golf to finally reach an agreement after approximately two years of discussion.
The PGA commissioner, Jay Monahan, said recently that the tour “asked” Trump “to be involved for the good of the game, the good of the country and for all the countries involved.”
Adam Scott, a member of the PGA Tour players Advisory Board, was at the meeting and echoed the commissioner’s feelings on his meeting, in which he accredited Tiger Woods for starting.

“Everything was really positive … It is something positive that the president of the United States is a lover of the golf game and understands some of the challenges that face the professional game at this time …”, Scott told the golf channel In Torrey Pines this week before invitational genesis. “He is a lover of the game and, hopefully, can be very useful to obtain a resolution for the professional game and help everyone to move on.”
“It is quite easy to link it with the golf game. He is passionate, owns several golf properties, fabulous destinations worldwide, and has a relationship with Saudi Arabia, the public investment fund, and is a fan of fans of the fans of the PGA Tour also, without a doubt a Tiger Woods fan, as we are all, “Scott added. “Since this has been linked to government beliefs, it can be very useful.”

Liv has played in several courses owned by Trump since his first year of play in 2022; The PGA Tour has also made stops in the president’s course, too.
Golf star Rory Mcilroy said in November that he believed Trump becoming president for the second time could help “Of course the way” for a deal between the PGA and Liv.
