- Aokzoe is ready to compete with other game hand games this year with the A1 x
- Use the new AMD Ryzen AI HX 370 APU, which uses the same IGPU as the Z2 Extreme
- There is no confirmation of a launch date or prices
If CES 2025 was not enough, the clue that 2025 could be one of the best years for hand games, after delighting his eyes in this: Aokzoe A1 X has been announced and seems to compete with Lenovo’s Legion Go 2 and The The Asus Rog Ally X, and could overcome Nintendo Switch 2 depending on rumored specifications.
As highlighted by Videcardz, AOKZOE A1 X will use the new AI 9 HX 370 APP RDNA, with an 8 -inch VRR screen of 120Hz, and a 72.7Whr. Although it does not match the Legion Go 2 or the Ergonomics of Switch 2 with the removable controllers, it certainly compensates with its processing power.
We have not yet seen how Ryzen Z2 Extreme of AMD will work, since there is no PC for hand games using this processor, but the AMD HX 370 APU uses the same GPU integrated with more nuclei and CPU threads (12 and 24), and It is already present at the Onexfly F1 Pro and it is shown that it provides great performance in several games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Ragnarok War God Via ET ETE on YouTube.
This should be a good indication of how the Ryzen Z2 Extreme Powered Go Legion can work (depending on its final specifications, since it remains a prototype), compared to the recently announced Nintendo Switch 2 (if the specifications are rumored are legitimate) , but it is also worth noting that the price (which has not confirmed a launch date) will probably determine the success of these horses in the market.
Are the ideal screen size for hand game devices?
With portable game devices such as Acer Nitro Blaze 11, which has an 11 -inch screen, questions about the ideal screen size for these systems must be addressed. As my colleague Christian Guyton previously stated, 11 -inch screens on a hand game device are too large, and I absolutely agree with this feeling.
Having tried the Lenovo Legion Go (which has a 8.8 -inch screen) and spent most of my time with the Allied Asus Rog (use a 7 -inch screen), I can say that 8 inches is the optimal point. Many of the criticisms that came with the Legion Van of users (and included) was that the device is too heavy to maintain, especially after long hours of play.
Devices such as MSI Claw 8 AI+ and Lenovo Legion Go S (which use an 8 -inch screen) could provide different results about how comfortable they are maintained while the games, since their designs will vary quite drastically. However, I think that 8 -inch screens should become the standard for new hand computers, since 7 inches (at least for me) is too small, especially for competitive games. Fortunately, it seems that most of the next hand computers in 2025 will obtain the right balance between having a screen large enough to see what is happening in the games, without making a device that is too large and bulky to play comfortably during a long time.
