TTP chief Noor Wali orchestrated Islamabad suicide attack: Tarar

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Tuesday revealed that the names of the four suspects accused of involvement in the G-11 suicide attack in Katcheri on November 11 have been arrested. He continued to shed light on the alleged links between the suspects and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan.

At a news conference in Islamabad, the minister said the attacker did not manage to reach a high security area but instead attacked a location on the outskirts of the city. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested four suspects immediately after the attack.

The minister has stated that Sajidullah joined Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan in 2015 and received training in multiple fields within Afghanistan. In 2023, he allegedly met an individual named Dadullah.

Tarar added that the attack had been planned by Fitna-ul-Khawarij and TTP leader Noor Wali Mehsud through his commander Dadullah, who is currently in Afghanistan. Sajidullah traveled to Afghanistan in August 2025 to meet with Dadullah as part of coordinating the operation.

Government authorities had previously confirmed that the network was run by the group’s top command in Afghanistan. The cell included a now-arrested commander and three other members. Investigations are ongoing and more arrests and revelations are expected.

During interrogation, Sajidullah alias Sheena, the perpetrator of the suicide bomber, confessed that the group’s commander, Saeed-ur-Rehman alias Daadullah, who is based in Afghanistan and TTP’s intelligence chief for Nawagai, Bajaur, had ordered him through Telegram to carry out the attack on the law enforcement agencies.

G-11 suicide attack

On November 11, a suicide bomber detonated explosives outside the G-11 district court complex, killing 12 people, including lawyer Zubair Aslam Ghuman, and injuring more than 36. Naqvi said the attacker had tried to enter the court building on foot but, unable to find a way inside, detonated the device outside, near a police vehicle.
