TTP families of the Afghan Taliban

Islamabad:

In an effort to placate the growing anger of Pakistan, the Aphgano Taliban government has relocated some family members of the forbidden Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) of the border regions to other parts of Afghanistan.

A Pakistani senior official confirmed the development of the Express PAkGazette here on Tuesday, but emphasized that the measure was very small to address the country’s long data concerns.

It is believed that the last movement of the Talibanes occurred after the United Arab Emirates (EAU) pushed the Kabul administration to address Pakistan’s concerns about terrorist hiding places.

Interim Interim Minister Talibán, Sirajuddin Haqqani, together with the Chief of Intelligence Taliban recently traveled to the EAU and held conversations with the leadership of the EAU. Before his trip, a Pakistani delegation also visited the Gulf country as part of the efforts to address the TTP issue.

There was no official confirmation of any of the parties about the development and potential role playing the EAU to relieve tensions between the two countries.

However, the Pakistani official recognized the role of EAU and Qatar to negotiate some type of path on the TTP issue.

The official said that certain members of the TTP family, mostly women and children, were relocated from Pakistan border areas to other areas of Afghanistan.

However, the official made it clear that the Taliban government made similar arrangements in the past with little impact. Given the fact that only TTP members were relocated and not the combatants, this would have little impact on the field.

In addition, the official said that the TTP relocation process of border areas had to be completed a long time ago, but it was carefully slow.

According to some estimates, there are between 6000 and 8,000 TTP terrorists operating from Afghanistan. In addition to another 20,000 family members who have led refugees through the border.

In view of this large number, the relocation of a few hundred members of the TTP family was not the response to Pakistan’s demand, according to another official.

The official said that the idea of the relocation of TTP of the border areas came from the Taliban after they expressed their reluctance to use the force against them.

Pakistan was always skeptical of the proposal, since the Taliban were not ready to give firm guarantees that TTP would no longer represent a threat to the neighboring country.

The news of the relocation of certain TTP members occurred only weeks after Pakistan made attacks through the border aimed at terrorist hiding places.

The sources said that Taliban leadership was divided on the topic of TTP. Some members believe that Kabul should address Pakistan’s concerns and not allow TTP to operate from his ground. However, there are others within the decision -making circle that support TTP.

The sources said Pakistan considered the last development only a “babies step” to address the most complex TTP challenge.

Pakistan has repeatedly informed the Taliban leadership that bilateral cooperation between the two neighbors depends on Kabul taking a decisive action against the TTP.
