ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad district and sessions courts on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a case related to a controversial tweet against Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha due to a lawyers’ strike.
The case was taken up by Additional Sessions and District Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka. The court was informed that the Islamabad Bar Association was observing a strike, so normal judicial work could not be carried out. The court postponed the proceedings without taking any substantial action on the case.
During the hearing, Chattha appeared before the court. However, due to lack of lawyers, no arguments could be presented.
