- We have a launch date for the 53 mm smaller OnePlus 3 mm
- Will begin to implement on July 8
- It is said that it is “full of specifications that rival the full size version”
When I checked the OnePlus Watch 3 months ago (at the time of writing), I said that it was already a contender for the best Android smart watch in 2025. I loved stainless steel, classical aesthetics and the excellent battery life, but my greatest complaint was a style: it was a large and heavy clock and it only came in a size.
As a sports clock, that is an important inconvenience. One of the reasons why Apple’s best watches are so popular is that they offer clock faces of different sizes, which allows people with smaller and larger dolls to find a watch that feels like belonging to their arm.
Having reviewed fitness technology for many years, I know that search terms such as ‘Apple Watch smaller’ and ‘The best smart watch for women’ are popular in Google. Customers who do not want to use large and thick watches, whether it is due to aesthetics or comfort, are sadly limited in choice.
Fortunately, OnePlus listened to our complaints. In my OnePlus Watch 3 review, I wrote: “My main complaint is the size of the clock: at the time of writing the initial initial review, I said that I would have loved to see that OnePlus took a second smaller model for those with smaller dolls. Many people, including many women, will find that it is too large and heavy for daily use.
“However, during my tests, OnePlus published the news that there would be a second smaller size along with the LTE capabilities for future models, and my fears dissipated.”
OnePlus had already revealed a smaller size, but not whenWe had no other detail about it. Would it have the same specifications as the largest model? What about the battery life? Is it still a OnePlus Watch 3, or something closer to an Apple style model? For months, we had no answers to these hot questions.
Published today in an exclusive interview with Techradar, Celina Shi, Marketing director of OnePlus Europe, finally spilled beans on the release date of the new watch, and even provided an image, the image above. At first glance, the 43 mm looks much more pixel clock than 47 mm full size clock.
“In February of this year, we launched our last flagship, the OnePlus Watch 3. It was very popular due to its enormous battery life, precise GPS and health and well -being metrics,” Celina said. “We are bringing a smaller iteration of this device that is perfect for those with smaller dolls, but it does not underestimate it.
“It is full of specifications that rival the full -size version, as well as exclusive monitoring characteristics that are not found in any other device, and will be available in the elegant silver steel!”
It seems that it is obtaining at least one exclusive characteristic, although we do not know more details about it. It will also pack the specifications that coincide with the 47 mm version of the clock.
The best part? It will be launched on July 8, just weeks away, along with a group of other OnePlus devices, such as the OnePlus Nord 5, OnePlus Buds 4 and OnePlus Pad Lite.
