Two officers of the Terrorism Control Department (CTD) were martyred in a shot incident in the Dam Road Tanda area of ​​the city of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa the city of Kohat on Monday.

The officers, identified as Mustafa and Zahid, were traveling to the city of Kohat for the service when the unidentified gunmen opened fire, Express News reported.

Both officers, who were on a motorcycle, died on the scene.

The assailants managed to escape, which caused a strong police presence in the area. The security forces have cordoned off the site and launched a search operation. The bodies of the deceased officers have been transferred to the DHQ Hospital, Kohat.

In a statement after the incident, the Federal Minister of Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, condemned the attack and expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased officers. He praised the sacrifices of Zahid and Mustafa, referring to his deaths as a testimony of his dedication to duty.

Naqvi said: “Martyrized officers, Ghulam Mustafa and Zahid Rehman, sacrificed their lives to the service, and we greet their courage. Their contributions to the fight against terrorism will always be remembered.”

The minister also extended his sympathy to the families of the killed officers and praised the courage of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, recognizing their ongoing sacrifices in the battle against terrorism.

In addition, in another incident, three people, including a police officer, were killed and one seriously injured in a shot incident during Taraweeh’s sentences in Narkowal.

According to the police, the shooting occurred when the faithful offered Taraweeh prayers at the Inam Ullah Butt residence. The unknown assailants opened fire indiscriminately, killing the Punjab police officer of Special Rama Zafar Iqbal, the Transporter Imran Butt and Shahid Butt.

Sho City Narkal, Toheed Ur Rehman, confirmed the incident, stating that the attack was linked to a long data dispute over a private bus stop in the area.

After the attack, a heavy police contingent led by Dpo Narowal, Malik Naveed, arrived on the scene, recovered the bodies and transferred them to the hospital. The injured individual, Shahbaz, is receiving medical treatment.
