Two terrorists killed in Tank Ibo

The security forces on Saturday neutralized two terrorists, including a Tehreek-E-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district tank (KP). The TTP operation has been identified as Commander Hanzala.

During the IBO, the forces also gathered an injured terrorist, who revealed vital details about the terrorist network operating in tank, his hiding places and operational, leading to a search operation. The authorities have reinforced security in the district and established pickets at the entrance and exit points of the district.

Separately, the authorities frustrated a terrorist attempt to attack a police station in the Gambella area of the Lakki district. Around 10-12 terrorists had taken their position in an area that surrounds the Gambella police station in the early hours of Saturday. However, due to the rapid response of the police, the terrorist had to flee.

However, the terrorists managed to detonate an improvised explosive device (FDI) controlled to remote control in the Sorbat Nalai area of Khar Tehsil of the low district. A resident of the area, Subhan Ullah, son of Fazl Subhan, suffered minor injuries as a result of the explosion.

The injured person was immediately taken to the Hospital of the District headquarters in Khar. Later, the authorities cordoned off the explosion site and began the investigation.

Meanwhile, Rakhmeen Khan, a police deputy superintendent (DSP), who had been injured in a terrorist attack in northern Waziristin earlier this month succumbed to his wounds on Saturday.

Rakhmeen had been seriously injured in an attack in the jurisdiction of the Tullay Khula Police Station, under South Wazirist on July 4 and had received treatment in the mission of the Peshawar mission.

His funeral prayer was offered with complete state honors in the police lines of Malik Saad Shaheed.

The funeral was attended by a large number of police and personnel officers, including the KP Police Inspector (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed, CCPO Qasim Ali Khan, Operations of SSP Masood Ahmad, SSP Investigation Noor Jamal and SP Seder Ali Gohar, as well as the members of the Martery family.

IGP Hameed and CCPO Khan placed floral crowns in the martyr’s coffin and prayed for the elevation of their range in the hereafter. The PPE offered condolences to the family family and paid tribute to courage and the sense of duty shown by the late DSP Rukhmeen Khan.
