According to the reports, the star of the Indiana Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton, suffered a devastating Achilles injury during the defeat of game 7 of the NBA finals of the team against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
Haliburton broke the Achilles tendon in his slip in the first quarter and will probably be lost all the 2025-26 season, ESPN reported on Monday. The Guard of the Pacers was the third player to suffer the devastating injury, with the Boston Celtics star, Jayson Tatum and the Milwaukee Bucks star, Damian Lillard, also dealt with the torn tendons of Achilles during the playoffs.

The Pacers announced after Haliburton left the game that would not return due to a lower right -legged injury. Haliburton’s father, John, told Lisa Salters de ESPN that it was an Achilles injury.
“He will return,” said the coach of the Pacers, Rick Carlisle, after the loss of 103-91. “I have no medical information about what is what, what may have happened or not. But he will return in time, and I think he will recover completely.”
Haliburton began to warm up to Indiana at the beginning of the game. He scored nine points in three triples and was about to go through the MVP of the NBA finals Shai Gilgeous-Alexander when he fell to the ground.

It seemed that Haliburton knew how devastating the injury would be when he hit his fist on the floor with frustration. I was already dealing with a calf injury before the game.
Haliburton emerged as one of the main stars in the playoffs through its clutch shot.
“Many of us were suffering from the loss, and he was there comforting ourselves. That is the one who is Tyrese Haliburton,” said the Guard of the Pacers, TJ McConnell. “He is the best.”
