In advance of the heavy rains of the monsoon, the district administration has intensified the precautionary measures and has issued an ultimatum for the immediate evacuation of residents living in ruins in ruins and areas prone to flooding.
The directive is particularly addressed to the occupants of unsafe buildings and residents along the Ravi belt in Tandlianwala, urging them to be relocated to safer areas to avoid a potential loss of lives.
The action is part of a broader monsoon emergency plan that is implemented under the supervision of the captain of the Deputy Commissioner (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir.
A high -level meeting chaired by the additional deputy commissioner (income) Rana Musa reviewed the preparation of the relevant departments.
The session attended commissioners attendees of City, Sadar, Tandlianwala and WASA officials, health, local government, municipal committees and other departments.
When addressing the meeting, Adc Rana Musa declared that guaranteeing the safety of citizens and their property remains the main priority.
He directed all the departments that activate the field teams and implement the necessary resources without delay.
Instructions for immediate announcements of the Mosque to alert the public, especially those in structurally weak homes, were issued to relocate.
Citizens were also advised to eliminate stagnant water roofs to avoid structural damage or accidents.
Drainage and disappointed operations have been prioritized in housing societies and urban centers.
WASA officials have been ordered to remain active during the rain, guarantee the preparation of the machinery and respond immediately to complaints.
