LAHORE:
By chairing a meeting to review the reasons for the alleged propagation of AIDS in Tehsil Taunsa, Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ordered the interested authorities on Friday not only determine the causes of the propagation of the disease, but also identify those responsible for criminal negligence.
She issued directives to establish a joint mission of UNICEF, WHO and the Punjab Health Department to track the history of affected children and perform household detection in their areas.
The joint mission will present suggestions for the prevention and control of AIDS.
The prime minister ordered the authorities to take effective measures for the protection of the population at risk in the area, and requested from them an effective operational plan for this purpose.
In its direction, special centers have been established for the treatment of AIDS at the Hospital of the Headquarters of Taunsa Tehsil and other medical facilities.
Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered the authorities to provide free treatment to children affected by AIDS in the area and warned: “Deficiency or negligence will not be tolerated in their treatment.”
Meanwhile, the CM Maryam Nawaz thanked the Faisalabad police for arresting the suspects in a few hours with a group violation during theft. She ordered the policy to guarantee the early arrest of the two associates of the suspects.
