UFL opens the 2025 season in Houston in Fox

The United Football League returned to the grill for the 2025 season and at least one record fell twice during the first two days of the New Year.
St. Louis Battlehawks corridor, Jarveon Howard and Arlington Rennegades, Kalen Ballage, broke the record of the longest race in the history of the UFL in their respective games. The Battlehawks surpassed the Houston Roughnecks 31-6 on Friday night and the renegades defeated San Antonio Brahmas 33-9 on Saturday.

Howard broke two cups in a race in the middle and then one more to solidify his score in the last quarter against the Roughnecks. He ran for a 74 -yard touchdown, which initially broke the UFL record. But the new brand did not even stand out for 24 hours when Ballage took its turn against the Brahmas.
In the second quarter. Ballage took a transfer to the outside, found a hole and hit it strongly. He broke some cup before finding daylight for his touchdown. He ran for 77 yards, breaking the Howard’s mark.
Howard was an outstanding corridor in Alcorn State, who played in Syracuse before entering the transfer portal. He was not recruited in 2024 and went briefly with the Green Bay Packers, but failed to make the final list.

Bolage was a prominent in the state of Arizona and entered the UFL last season with a little more experience in the NFL, specifically in special teams. He has been with the New York Jets, Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers before the Brahmas selected it in the Draft XFL 2023.
He joined the renegades in January.
The victories give both teams a good start to return to the image of the playoffs. The Battlehawks won the XFL conference last year, but lost in the championship game of the conference against the Brahmas. The renegades, who won the XFL title in 2023, ended 3-7 last season.
Week 1 of the 2025 UFL season concludes Sunday.
