Washington: Great Britain Foreign Secretary David Lammy, has said that there is still the possibility of reaching a Pacific Agreement with Iran on its nuclear program.

Speaking before the key conversations in Geneva, Lammy said there is a two -week window to find a diplomatic solution and prevent the situation in the Middle East worsensing.

He urged all parties to act quickly to avoid a broader conflict.

Lammy met with the Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, and the special envoy Steve Witkoff in the White House, before Friday’s conversations in Geneva with Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, along with his French, German and EU counterparts.

Two -week window for diplomacy still open: FM of the United Kingdom in Iran's nuclear agreement

The diplomatic impulse occurs when European countries require decline in front of Israel’s bombing campaign against Iran’s nuclear program, and when the president of the United States, Donald Trump, considers whether it joins the strikes in Tehran.

“The situation in the Middle East is still dangerous,” Lammy said in a statement issued by the United Kingdom embassy in Washington.

“We argue how Iran must reach an agreement to avoid a deepening conflict. There is now a window within the next two weeks to achieve a diplomatic solution,” he said.

“Tomorrow, I will go to Geneva to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister along with my French, German and EU counterparts,” added the British minister.

“Now is the time to stop tombs in the Middle East and avoid a regional escalation that would not benefit anyone.”

The United States Department of State said that Lammy and Rubio had “agreed that Iran can never develop or acquire a nuclear weapon.”

European impulse for diplomacy

Araghchi previously confirmed that “he would meet with the European delegation in Geneva on Friday,” in a statement conducted by the Iraní Iraní Iranian news agency.

The conversations will include Lammy, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barot, German Minister of Foreign Affairs Johann Wadephul and the head of Foreign Policy of the EU Kaja Kallas.

Trump has said that he is still wearing military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities, since Israel continues air attacks and that Tehran responds with missile attacks.

France, Germany, Great Britain and the European Union were all signatory to the 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran, which Trump retired during his first term in office.

The Kallas of the EU, in coordination with the European powers, has insisted that diplomacy remains the best way to prevent them from developing a nuclear weapon.

On Wednesday, the French president, Emmanuel Macron, said the European nations planned to propose a negotiated solution to end the Iran-Israel conflict. He asked his Minister of Foreign Affairs to work with “nearby partners” in such an initiative.

Barrot has remained in regular contact with its German and British counterparts since Israel launched its large -scale air attacks on Iran last Friday.

“We are ready to participate in negotiations aimed at obtaining a lasting reversal of its nuclear and ballistic missile programs,” Barrot said.

Israel argues that its air campaign is intended to prevent Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.

Iran has been enriching the uranium at 60 percent, well above the limit of 3.67 percent established by the 2015 agreement, but still below the 90 percent required for a nuclear head. Tehran denies that he is building nuclear weapons.
