The Nebraska cornhuskers will not regret their trip to Las Vegas.
Despite staying in southern Nevada for three weeks after not making the NCAA tournament, the cornhuskers did everything that is worth taking home the first university basketball crown.
Nebraska knocked down the UCF knights, 77-66, to claim the $ 300,000 prize.

The game was tied 35 per piece in half, and the second half was all to start. But it seems that Nebraska took some notes of Houston’s return against Duke in the Final Four.
The knights reached a 14-0 race to open the second half, but the cornhuskers responded with a 24-3 race to lead for six with 7:27.
UCF cut it four more than a minute later, but that is as close as UCF arrived when Nebraska began to continue its acquisition and separated.

In the last 14:36, Nebraska beat UCF, 42-17.
Juwan Gary, the MVP of the tournament, fell 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Brice Williams and Connor Essegian scored 21 points each, and the latter did it from the bank.
The 29 points of Jordan Ivy-Curry were not enough in the losing effort of the UCF.

It was a deep shot clinic for Nebraska, since it was 9 of 21 (42.9%) three. UCF, on the other hand, was 7 of 29, a 24.1%clip.
