QUETTA:
The opposition leader in the Baluchistan Assembly, Mir Youngas Aziz Zehri, organized a house strike in a protest for the exclusion of Jhalawan Medical College of the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).
In a speech before leaving the session, Mir Youunas rebuked the provincial government for neglecting a project of educational importance.
“In spite of constantly raising this problem, no corrective measures have been taken. The project director remains in charge, although it is clearly qualified,” Zehri allegedly, citing poor management and inefficiency in the university administration.
The former prime minister and leader of the National Party, Dr. Malik Baloch, echoed these concerns, warning that he continued funds and administrative failures could attract the attention of the Medical Council of Pakistan (PMC).
“If PMC realizes, the university accreditation could be at risk, threatening the future of hundreds of medical students,” he warned.
In response, Prime Minister Mira Sarfaz Bugti said he reviewed the decision.
