Eastern Michigan Football recruit Elijah Berman was killed in a motorcycle accident that involved a semitruck on Tuesday night, according to officials. I was only 17 years old.
Berman, member of University American football The 2026 recruitment class of the team was traveling in a Suzuki DL1000 2006 in Franklin, Ohio, when it was hit by a semitruck around 5:12 pm, said the road patrol of the state of Ohio in a press release.

According to the Police, the truck, driven by Anthony Allen, 41, from Roseville, Michigan, left a ramp of interstate 75 north when the truck “hit the motorcycle at the intersection.” The Semitruck also hit a high medium divisor before overturning.

Berman was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. Allen received treatment for non -potential life injuries.
Police said the accident remains under investigation.
The news of Berman’s death shocked the community of his hometown and the university football community.

“We are mourning for the death of Elijah Berman,” said East Michigan coach Chris Creighton, in a position in X.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their mother Heather, his current teammates, family and friends. Elijah was ultra talented, but it was his great heart, an infectious smile and incredible personality that made us fall in love with him. Rip Elijah.”
Berman was a student at Julienne Catholic High School, where he was a member of the football and athletics teams of the school.
